Who will I be seeing at my appointment?
You’ll be cared for by Dr. Matthew Alch (Chiropractor), our lead chiropractor, or another member of our experienced team. Matthew has practised at Sydney Spinal Care since 2002 and holds a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. Every chiropractor here is AHPRA-registered and a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association.
What happens on your first visit?
Your first visit begins with a thorough assessment — we take time to understand your history, symptoms and goals, followed by a physical and postural examination (with X-ray imaging if needed). We then explain what’s going on in plain language and, in most cases, begin treatment the same visit. The whole initial consultation and first treatment is $99.

Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes — we’re open six days a week and same-day appointments are often available. If you’re dealing with pain and want to be seen quickly, call us before midday and we’ll usually fit you in that day.
Is chiropractic covered by Medicare?
Medicare doesn’t cover standard chiropractic visits. However, eligible patients with a chronic condition can access up to 5 subsidised sessions per year through a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), with a Medicare rebate of approximately $60–$62 per session — a GP referral is required. For everyone else, we offer instant HICAPS health-fund claiming on-site.
